Biography
Katherine Wickham was awarded her MSci in Chemistry with an International Study Year in 2015 from the University of Nottingham. During her final year, she worked with Dr. Nick Besley on alternatives for time dependent DFT for computation of UV/Vis spectra of lead sandwich complexes. She started a joint PhD under the supervision of Prof. Elena Besley and Dr. Nick Besley which follows on from her work in her masters year on UV/Vis spectra of metal complexes.
Current Research Project
Calculation of the absorption and emission spectra of gold phosphine complexes.
Research Interests
Computation of spectra of metal complexes using ab initio and DFT methods.
