Biography
Edward obtained his MChem in Chemistry at the University of Leicester. His masters year being focused on Molecularly Imprinted Nanoparticles. He joined the group this year with the first cohort of LDMI students under the Joint supervision of Prof. Elena Besley (Chemistry) and Prof. Paul Brown (Engineering). The area of research his PhD is directed at is the control of atomic positioning using electron beams using both an experimental and computational approach.
Current Research Project
- Modelling the damage an electron beam inflicts on graphene using CompuTEM
Research Interests
- The role of hydrogen in promoting surface damage to graphene
