Michelle Bound

PhD student

Michelle Bound was awarded her M.Sci. degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Nottingham in 2013. In her degree she studied Chemistry and Physics, focusing on Chemistry in her final year. During her masters project she worked with Dr. Elena Bichoutskaia and Dr. Mikhail Suyetin on the computational modelling of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) and their interactions with hydrogen and carbon dioxide. Her current research is following on from her masters project and is focused on the study of porous MOFs for applications in gas storage.

Current Research Project

Computational design of metal organic frameworks with a high capacity for gas storage

Research Interests

The modelling of MOF systems and the modelling of their interactions with guest molecules including methane, hydrogen and carbon dioxide.
